The Cubic 4 apartment building in Bucharest impresses with its bold and minimalist design chosen by the architect and demonstrates that the efficiency of the plan must be combined with a careful study of the volumetry to transform the image into an iconic one. The horizontally developed bar of height P+4 is composed of several longitudinal volumes that compete to come forward. The characteristic image from the access corner captures the dynamic relationship between the four parallelepipeds engaged in a game of depths: the main body Gf+4 with sash windows and loggias in the same plane, the first floor strongly cantilevered on two sides, punctuated by vertical slits on the whole height of the level and protecting the access, the background volume dominated by the full and the accent of the four transparent balconies cantilevered from the facade towards the street. The first-floor cantilever is the hallmark of the project and houses the loggia of a large apartment positioned on the corner, as well as the extensions of the apartments on the south facade.
